The Current Park Board Volunteer Members would like to extend a sincere thank you to the Friends of The Park. These are the many people - residents and corporate citizens - whose generosity of money, time, talents, and personal efforts have contributed to our ability to develop, maintain, and improve our park. We could not do it without you!

FRIENDS OF THE PARK - WE THANK YOU!

-The many men and women who have given their time and energy to mowing and weed-eating and showing up on workdays to beautify our park. We truly could not exist without your personal effort.

-Katie Cornell for resuscitating our website!

-Rob Pugh of Farm Bureau Insurance for providing copies for park information.

-Utilities, Inc for your generous donation of $500.00! for our new storage building.

-The generous donations given by Bent Creek residents - thanks to you we can pay our bills and maintain and develop our park.

-Karl Propst for donating the shade arbor over the sandbox.

-Domesticated Outlaws for the music and dancing at the Summertime Celebration.

-Sam’s Club for donating $50.00 towards our Summertime Celebration supplies.

-Chelsea and John for donating the use of your outdoor movie projector.

-Lowe’s Home Improvement for a very sweet discount on supplies for park maintenance and the excellent service we received.

-Warren’s Buildings for discounting the storage building and giving us excellent service.

-Susan Roderick and Asheville GreenWorks for your continued support.

-Thomas Minton, Gabe Holguin, Kris Bedsaul, and Mike Dale for hosting the sports events that promote and benefit our park.

-Waste Pro Garbage Disposal Service for providing FREE weekly trash service to the park, and thanks to Katherine Propst for making this happen.

-Morris from Bent Creek Small Engine repair for servicing our push mower…again and again.

-Bill and Kari Williams of Williams Family Dentistry for providing water and fruit for the participants of the Suburban Assault Series Family Sports Festival.

-Day of Caring Workers: volunteers from Eaton Corporation, Mike and Debbie Turner, Ray Tranthum, Sue Lyons and her children, Scott Huffman and his children, Amy, and Jim Kelly.

-Fed Ex (formerly known as Kinkos) for providing friendly service at a discount.

-Daniel Clere of  WNC Nature Center and Steve Schmeiser of Mountain WILD -  for blessing us with such a wonderful presentation of facts and props and live animals. This was an event enjoyed by all ages!

-If we have missed you, please know that you are appreciated - we might just be old, tired, overworked and underpaid. Thank you for understanding.
